DENVER (AP) - Martin Havlat's goal with 4:49 left sent the Minnesota Wild to a 1-0 win over Colorado on Thursday night, denying Craig Anderson another shutout and handing the Avalanche its first loss since Jan. 8 at Carolina.

Anderson, going for his third shutout in four games, slid to his right in anticipation of a shot from Kyle Brodziak, who instead backhanded the puck to Havlat. The Wild forward was sandwiched between two Colorado defenders and slid the puck into the open net.

Anderson's shutout streak ended at 146 minutes, 24 seconds.

Anderson, who finished with 25 saves, was pulled with 2:29 left when the Avs had a man-advantage, but Josh Harding had two of his 29 saves during the Colorado power play to cap his first shutout of the season. The Wild have won five of six games against the Avalanche this season.

Colorado had outscored opponents 15-2 during the first four games of a five-game homestand. The Avs were going for their best homestand of at least five games since moving to Denver. Their previous best was 5-0-1 in 2005.

The first two periods were scoreless even though Minnesota had four power plays to Colorado's none. Anderson made several nice saves in the second period as the Avalanche killed the Wild's fourth power play.

Minnesota's first penalty was a holding call on Kim Johnsson at 5:16 of the third period.

NOTES: Colorado captain Adam Foote (ankle) missed his seventh straight game. ... The last time the Avalanche won seven straight was Dec. 31, 2005-Jan. 17, 2006, when they had eight consecutive victories. ... Minnesota is 12-2-2 in its last 16 games against Colorado. ... Wild F Derek Boogaard missed his second straight game due to a lower body injury. ... Avalanche D Ryan Wilson returned after missing two games with a head injury.
