DENVER (AP) - Kyle Cumiskey and Matt Duchene each scored twice and Craig Anderson stopped 24 shots, helping the Colorado Avalanche to its fourth straight win in a 6-0 rout of Edmonton on Monday night.

The Oilers have dropped eight straight and 15-of-16.

It was Colorado's highest offensive output of the season. The Avalanche stayed ahead of Vancouver and Calgary atop the Northwest Division.

John-Michael Liles had a goal and two assists and Chris Stewart chipped in a goal and an assist. Wojtek Wolski also had three helpers.

Anderson wasn't tested all that often as he earned his career-best fourth shutout of the season. His best save came in the second period, when he slid over to stop Patrick O'Sullivan's close-in wrist shot.

It has been quite an inaugural season in Denver for Anderson. He has set personal-best marks in starts (41), wins (24) and minutes (2,461).

Duchene and Cumiskey scored their second goals of the game in the final period. Duchene has 15 goals this season, the second most among rookies. New York Islanders forward John Tavares leads with 17.

Stewart and Cumiskey both found the net in the second period as Colorado opened up a 4-0 lead. Cumiskey's goal was an exhibition in textbook passing as he fed Paul Stastny down the left side of the ice. Stastny then gave it right back to Cumiskey, who shuffled the puck past goalie Jeff Deslauriers.

Stewart scored a goal in his third straight game. He also has 27 points in his last 26 contests.

The Avalanche took advantage of a 5-on-3 power play in the first period when Duchene knocked in a rebound after Wolski's blast from near the blue line bounced off the pads of Deslauriers.

Liles staked Colorado to an early lead after poking in a puck that was sitting at the edge of the net midway through the first period. The play was set up by Duchene, who shot the puck hard enough for it to trickle through Deslauriers' legs. Liles skated in from the side and knocked in his fourth goal of the season.

The Avalanche was without one of its top scorers in Milan Hejduk, who is expected to miss 2-4 weeks because of a knee injury. Hejduk will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday.

NOTES: Avalanche F Marek Svatos sat out (bruised chest) and is considered day to day. ... Oilers C Gilbert Brule missed the game with the flu. ... Avalanche F Cody McLeod and Oilers F Zack Stortini got into an entertaining scuffle behind Edmonton's net in the first period. They exchanged several blows before being separated and heading to the box for fighting. ... Avalanche D Ryan Wilson suffered a head injury  in the first period and didn't play in the final two stanzas. ... Colorado is 7-0 in Monday games. ... Colorado's four-game winning streak matches the team's longest this season.
