OTTAWA (AP) - Joakim Lindstrom scored twice and Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 15 saves in his first start for Colorado to help the Avalanche rout the Ottawa Senators 7-1 on Thursday night.

Rookie Gabriel Landeskog, Milan Hejduk and Matt Duchene each had a goal and an assist, Daniel Winnik and David Jones also scored and Ryan O'Reilly had three assists for Colorado. The Avalanche improved to 3-1, going 4-of-6 on the power play in addition to a shorthanded tally.

Milan Michalek had a power-play goal for Ottawa. The Senators are 1-3.

Craig Anderson, playing his first game against his former team, stopped 32 shots.

Landeskog, the second overall pick in the June draft, also scored Wednesday night in Columbus in the Avalanche's 3-2 shootout victory over the Blue Jackets.

The Senators took the lead for the first time this season on Michalek's power-play goal early in the first, but it was short-lived as the Avalanche tied it 3 minutes later on Hejduk's power-play goal.
