
DENVER (AP) - Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and two assists, and Corey Perry and Saku Koivu each had a goal and an assist to help the Anaheim Ducks beat the slumping Colorado Avalanche, 6-2, on Friday night.
Bobby Ryan, Brad Winchester and Dan Sexton also scored, Teemu Selanne and Luca Sbisa each had two assists and Dan Ellis made 24 saves for Anaheim. The Ducks are ninth in the Western Conference, two points behind Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and Calgary.
David Jones and Ryan O'Reilly scored for Colorado, and Brian Elliott made 27 saves. The Avalanche has dropped 17 of 18 games and has only six wins since the calendar flipped to 2011.
O'Reilly opened the scoring with 44 seconds left in the first period, but the Ducks scored four goals in the first 10:13 of the second to take a 4-2 lead.
Anaheim tied it when Selanne fed a driving Koivu in the slot for a one-timer just 34 seconds into the period. Getzlaf made it 2-1 with a power-play goal at 3:26, his 17th goal of the season.
The Avalanche evened the game when Paul Stastny fed Jones in front of the Anaheim net, and he chipped the puck past Ellis for his team-leading 24th goal of the season.
Just 28 seconds later, Getzlaf stole the puck from Matt Duchene along the boards and sent a pass to Perry, who beat Elliott for his 34th goal of the year. Dan Sexton made it 4-2 with his fourth goal of the year at 10:13, capping a stretch that saw the Ducks net four goals in a span of 9:39.
Ryan and Winchester scored midway through the final period to make it 6-2.
NOTES: Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk injured a shoulder in the second period and did not return. ... Avalanche center Paul Stastny also left the game after suffering a back injury in the third period. ... Colorado defenseman John-Michael Liles (leg injury) sat out for the first time this season. ... The Avalanche is the only NHL team to not have a game decided by a shootout on home ice.
