SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -Evgeni Nabokov made 24 saves and both Ryane Clowe and Jamie McGinn scored their first goals of the season to help the San Jose Sharks beat the Western Conference-leading Colorado Avalanche 3-1 on Friday night.
Dany Heatley added his ninth goal of the season. The Sharks have won four straight and six of their last seven games. They are 9-4-1 overall and 4-0-1 at home.
Anderson continually turned away the Sharks in the first two periods, making 31 saves before Clowe scored with 5.9 seconds left in the second. Anderson stopped shots by Patrick Marleau and Rob Blake before Clowe slipped it past.
Heatley redirected a pass from Jason Demers early in the third period.
Duchene scored a short-handed goal to make it 2-1, but McGinn knocked in a rebound 30 seconds later.
NOTES: Sharks center Joe Thornton took his first penalty of the season, an interference call late in the second period. ... Colorado defenseman John-Michael Liles returned to the ice after missing seven games because of a bruised right shoulder. ... The Sharks are 1-for-19 on power plays at home. ...
