2013-14: Appeared in 55 games for Owen Sound (OHL) and finished second among team defensemen with 26 points (4g/22a)…Added three points (1g/2a) in five playoff games for Owen Sound, tying him for second on the club in scoring…Was named the “Best Defensive Defenseman” in the OHL Western Conference Coaches Poll…Represented Canada at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship in Malmo, Sweden…Played in all seven games at the world juniors, posting a +2 plus/minus rating while helping Canada to a fourth-place finish…Participated in the Canadian Hockey League’s Subway Super Series vs. Russia in November…Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Avalanche prior to the season on Sept. 17, 2013.
