- Is entering his fifth NHL season. - Led all Colorado defensemen in points (53), goals (12-tied) and assists (41) last season. - His 53 points ranked eighth among NHL defensemen and were the most by an Avalanche blueliner since 2001-02 (Rob Blake 56). - Was the first Avs D to record that many assists since Ray Bourque had 52 in 2000-01. - Led the team in assists and plus/minus (+5), while ranking second in average ice time (21:21) and power-play points (2g/14a). - Tyson s 41 assists tied him for eighth among league rearguards. - Recorded 37 of his points at even strength (10g/27a), tying the franchise record for a defenseman set by Steve Duchesne with Quebec in 1992-93. - Only P.K. Subban (39) and John Carlson (38) had more even-strength points among league defenders (Barrie tied Roman Josi for third on that list). - Has scored four career OT goals, the most by a blueliner in franchise history.
