2011-12: Was named to the All-WCHA First Team and the AHCA/CCM All-American West Second Team as a senior at the University of Minnesota…Started all 43 games for the Gophers, leading his team to the WCHA regular season championship and a berth in the 2012 NCAA Frozen Four…Compiled a 28-14-1 record with a 2.32 goals-against average, .907 save percentage and seven shutouts…His seven shutouts were a single-season school record and tied for the NCAA lead…Patterson’s 28 wins ranked second in the nation and were the most by a Gopher since Robb Stauber won 34 games in 1987-88…Captured the WCHA Goaltending Champion title with a 2.06 GAA in 28 league games and also led all WCHA netminders with 20 wins (20-8-0) in conference action…Named National Player of the Month for October (7-1-0 record, four shutouts, 1.74 GAA and .939 Sv%)…Was selected WCHA Defensive Player of the Week three times (Oct. 11, Nov. 1 and Feb. 21)…Signed an entry level contract with the Avalanche on May 11, 2012.

2010-11: Was named to the All-WCHA Second Team as a junior at the University of Minnesota...Became the first Minnesota goaltender to be named to a postseason All-WCHA team since Adam Hauser (third team) in 2000-01...Appeared in 30 games, posting a 14-9-6 record with a 2.54 goals-against average and .919 save percentage...Led all WCHA netminders with a .926 save percentage in league play, fashioning a 13-5-5 record in 24 conference games...Began the year 6-0-1 in his first eight appearances...Also had a seven-game unbeaten streak (5-0-2) from Feb. 12 to March 5...Was named the WCHA Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 14...Started the final 21 games of the season...Received the school’s John Mariucci Most Valuable Player award, the Dr. V. George Nagobads Unsung Hero award and the Tom Mohr Playoff Most Valuable Player...Patterson was the first Gopher to receive all three awards in the same year (since 1999-00).

2009-10: Saw action in eight games (six starts) during his sophomore season at the University of Minnesota, posting a 2-4-1 record with a .901 save percentage...Made 37 saves to earn his first collegiate victory on Nov. 28 against Michigan State.

2008-09: Appeared in seven games (one start) during his freshman season at Minnesota...Posted a .925 save percentage and 2.34 goals-against average... Made his collegiate debut in relief on Nov. 28 against Michigan, stopping 25 shots in 35:59 of action...Earned a tie in his first collegiate start, turning aside 34-of-36 shots on Feb. 27 vs. Minnesota Duluth.

2007-08: Posted a 10-6-1 record with one shutout in 20 appearances for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL)...Was sidelined for the first 18 games after undergoing sports hernia surgery...Stopped 23-of-25 shots in his season debut, a 5-2 victory over Sioux Falls on Dec. 7.

2006-07: Compiled a 20-5-3 record in his first season with Cedar Rapids...Led the RoughRiders in appearances (29), wins and goals-against average (2.91).
