CAREER
2007-08: Split the season between the Saginaw Spirit and Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League…Helped the Bulls reach the Memorial Cup after joining the team via a five-player trade on Dec. 9…Tallied 15 goals and 46 points in 67 combined games between the two clubs…Finished tied for fifth among league defensemen in goals and was 15th in points…Appeared in 29 games with Saginaw, posting five goals and 19 assists…Notched 22 points (10g/22a) with a +16 rating in 38 games with Belleville…Racked up a combined 100 minutes in penalties…Went on to finish second among OHL defensemen in playoff scoring with 18 points (7g/11a) in 21 postseason contests…Recorded three points (1g/2a) in four games at the Memorial Cup in Kitchener, Ontario…Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Avalanche on Aug. 11. 2006-07: Began the season with the University of Wisconsin but left the program on Nov. 11 after appearing in just one game…Signed with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League on Nov. 12…Notched 36 points, including 17 goals, in 46 games with the Spirit…Ranked fourth among OHL rookie defensemen in scoring despite missing the first 20-plus games…His 17 goals led all rookie backliners…Was among the team leaders in penalty minutes with 92…Skated in six playoff games for Saginaw, posting two goals and one assist. 2005-06: Played for the U.S. National Team Development Program, notching 16 points (6g/10a) in 59 games…Was ranked 13th overall among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting prior to the 2006 Entry Draft. 2004-05: Member of Team Illinois major midget squad…Joined the U.S. Under-17 Team for a three-game tournament in Slovakia, recording a goal and three points.
