2005-06 SEASON
Spent most of the season with Lowell of the American Hockey League but had a pair of month-long stints in Colorado…Was first recalled on Dec. 6 and made seven starts for the Avs in early December…Started four straight games to begin his NHL career, Dec. 7-12…Won his first two NHL starts…Made his NHL debut on Dec. 7 vs. Boston, stopping 20 shots in a 4-1 victory over the Bruins…Stopped all seven shootout attempts in a 4-3 victory at New Jersey on Dec. 9…It was the first shootout win in franchise history…Posted a 2-1 victory at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 18, turning aside 29 shots…Was sent back to Lowell on Dec. 28…Recalled by the Avalanche on March 8, Kolesnik spent the rest of the season in the NHL…Played six minutes on March 31 at Calgary in what was his only appearance during his second recall…Appeared in 29 games for the Lowell Lock Monsters, posting a 15-13-0 record with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage…Finished 19th in league in GAA, sixth in save percentage and his three shutouts tied for fifth. 
 
INTERNATIONAL
Made his Olympic debut for Kazakhstan at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy…Started two of Kazakhstan's five games, going 0-2-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and .905 save percentage… Turned aside 32 shots in a 4-1 loss to the United States on Feb. 16…Has been the top goaltender for the Kazakhstan National Team since 1999…Ranked third among all goaltenders with a .952 save percentage at the 2005 World Championships in Austria.
