- It marked his first NHL game since the 2008-09 season finale, April 12, 2009 vs. St. Louis.

- Appeared in six games for the Avalanche at the end of the 2008-09 season, collecting one assist.

2008-09 SEASON
- Was recalled from Lake Erie (AHL) on March 31 and played in each of the final six games for Colorado.
- Made his NHL debut on April 1 vs. Phoenix, logging 16:20 of ice time.
- Became just the second California-born player to ever play for the Avalanche, joining Scott Parker (Hanford, Calif.).
- Tallied his first NHL point with an assist on April 9 vs. Dallas.
- Recorded 18 points (3g/15a) with a +6 plus/minus rating in 36 games for the Lake Erie Monsters.
- Also appeared in eight games for the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL, recording a goal and five assists.
