2008-09: Was recalled from the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) on March 26 and made his NHL debut the following night against the Vancouver Canucks at Pepsi Center…Appeared in three games total for Colorado before being reassigned to Lake Erie on April 4…Skated in 54 games with the Monsters, totaling six points (1g/5a)…Also played six games with the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL), posting one assist.
2007-08: Spent most of his first professional season with the Lake Erie Monsters but also saw time with the Johnstown Chiefs…Recorded six points (2g/4a) in 51 games with Lake Erie…Reassigned to Johnstown on March 27 and skated in six regular season games and six playoff contests for the Chiefs.
Other: Played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame (CCHA)…Helped the Fighting Irish to its first-ever CCHA regular-season title while serving as alternate captain as a senior in 2006-07…Winner of the William Donald Nyrop Award as the team’s top defensive player in 2005-06…Selected by the New York Islanders in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
