| Wayne Flemming
Wayne Flemming recently finished his 18th year with the Avalanche organization. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, "Smokey" originally joined the Avalanche with the Cornwall Aces (AHL) in 1995-96 before accepting an assistant equipment manager position with Colorado for the 1996-97 season.
Elevated to head equipment manager for 1999-00, Flemming was responsible for all equipment repair, maintenance, logistics, and the day-to-day dressing room operations at Pepsi Center. He worked in the Winnipeg Jets organization with the Moncton Hawks (AHL) for seven seasons prior to his stint with the Avalanche. During the 2000-01 schedule, Wayne worked his 1,000th game in professional hockey. A member of the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers and the Athletic Equipment Managers Association, Flemming is also a nationally registered EMT-IV.
Now, Flemming oversees the purchase, inventory, and the eventual retail of all team game and game-used equipment and materials.
Wayne and his wife, Sabrina, reside in Parker, Colo.
