giveSPORTS Equipment Drive A Success

More than 25,000 new and gently used sports equipment, $11,000 in cash donations and $30,000 in scholarship funds were collected at Pepsi Center on Saturday, Sept. 8, to benefit "A Precious Child" and the "Jessica Ghawi Scholarship Fund."

Avalanche goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere and defenseman Jan Hejda were on hand to help, as were several current and former Denver Nuggets players and Jamie Shewchuk from the Colorado Mammoth.

The talent from Altitude Sports and Entertainment was also helping out, including Peter McNab, Mike Haynes, Todd Romero, Brian Engblom, Kyle Keefe, Julie Browman and Marc Moser.
