Altitude Sports To Broadcast Peter Forsberg Jersey Retirement Ceremony On Opening Night
Altitude Sports will air a live one-hour special broadcast of the Peter Forsberg jersey retirement ceremony on opening night October 8, 2011. The one-hour broadcast will begin at 5:30 pm with limited commercial interruptions.  In addition, Altitude will also broadcast their regular half-hour pregame show immediately following the ceremony, beginning at 6:30pm, followed by the puck drop for the Colorado Avalanche’s first game of the season against the Detroit Red Wings as part of NHL Face Off 2011.  Tune in to Altitude’s HD presentation as Peter McNab and Mike Haynes will provide expert play-by-play and color commentary during the game, and Julie Browman and Brian Engblom will provide in-studio analysis during intermissions.

Altitude will be there every step of the way as the Avalanche honors the career of Peter Forsberg.  Altitude will provide behind-the-scenes coverage of everything happening on this special night including interviews with current and former players, coaches, and friends. Covering this event will be Kyle Keefe, live from Pepsi Center, with commentary from Peter McNab and Mike Haynes throughout the evening. In addition to the initial live airing of the retirement ceremony, Altitude will also air the special a number of times throughout the weekend.

“We are thrilled to be covering the jersey retirement ceremony for the great Peter Forsberg,” said Matt Hutchings, CEO of Altitude Sports & Entertainment, “We look forward to providing unparalleled access to this once in a lifetime ceremony.”
