The Colorado Avalanche finishes the 2011-12 preseason with its annual matchup against the Los Angeles Kings in Las Vegas, NV.
After tonight's contest, the Avs will fly back to Denver to prepare for an opening night contest against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, October 8.
The Avs are coming off a 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night, with Joakim Lindstrom scoring the team's lone goal.
The Kings defeated the Anaheim Ducks last night by a score of 3-1 on goals from Mike Richards, Willie Mitchell and Anze Kopitar.
