The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has reassigned four players, reducing its 2011 preseason roster to 40.
The following two players have been reassigned to the American Hockey League training camp:

C Justin Mercier Lake Erie (AHL)
C Evan Brophey Lake Erie (AHL)
The following two players have been reassigned to their respective major junior teams:

C Garrett Meurs Plymouth (OHL)
G Calvin Pickard Seattle (WHL)
