MATCHUP 9: #3 Matt Duchene vs. # 30 Kevin Porter
Duchene's first career overtime goal - which was one of the top vote-getters in the entire tournament - goes up against Porter's shootout winner at Dallas.

#3 Duchene Downs Sens – 12/17 vs. Ottawa (58.60% in Week 11)
Matt Duchene’s first career overtime goal gave Colorado a 6-5 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Duchene worked a give-and-go with linemate Tomas Fleischmann and received the return pass in the neutral zone before speeding down the ice and sending a wrist shot past goalie Brian Elliott from the lower left circle.

#30 Porter Converts In Shootout – 11/20 @ Dallas (37.86% in Week 7)
Having already scored game-winning goals in the Avalanche’s previous two games against the San Jose Sharks and New York Rangers, Kevin Porter was given another chance to help the Avalanche secure two points against Dallas. Porter was tabbed by Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco in the fifth round of the shootout against the Stars – his first career shootout attempt – and converted a wrister past Kari Lehtonen to give Colorado a 4-3 victory.

MATCHUP 10: #19 Daniel Winnik vs. #14 Ryan O'Reilly

Winnik's pass that set up a David Jones tally takes on an O'Reilly shootout winner against the Phoenix Coyotes. These two plays were "Play of the Week" winners just one week apart in the regular season.

#19 Winnik To Jones – 3/28 @ Anaheim (42.65% in Week 25)
After the Avalanche thwarted an Anaheim attack, Daniel Winnik and David Jones worked a two-man game that resulted in the latter’s 25th goal of the season. Jones gained control of the puck in the defensive zone and carried it all the way across the opposite blue line before giving it up to Winnik, who spun off Francois Beauchemin before giving it back to Jones for the score.

#14 O’Reilly Leads The Way – 4/1 @ Phoenix (46.34% in Week 26)
Ryan O’Reilly put the team on his back against Phoenix, scoring the game-tying goal late in regulation and then netting the shootout winner. On his shootout attempt, O’Reilly picked up speed and came straight at Phoenix goalie Ilya Bryzgalov before snapping a shot between the netminder’s legs.

MATCHUP 11: #11 Paul Stastny vs. #22 Brandon Yip

Stastny's diving goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets faces Yip's wraparound tally, which was his second of the game in a tilt against St. Louis.

#11 Stastny’s Diving Tally – 10/30 vs. Columbus (49.44% in Week 4)
Just 44 seconds after David Liffiton gave the Avalanche a 3-0 lead over Columbus with his first NHL goal, Paul Stastny added to the cushion on a strong individual effort. Stastny received a pass from Chris Stewart behind the Blue Jackets’ net and circled around in front, where he was met by defenseman Kris Russell. Even though Columbus Russell took out his legs, Stastny was able to toss a backhander past Steve Mason for his fifth goal of the season.

#22 Yip’s Wraparound – 1/24 vs. St. Louis (40.01% in Week 16)
Brandon Yip scored his second goal of night against St. Louis while the Avs were on a power play. Yip put a shot on goal from the low right circle that was stopped by Jaroslav Halak, but the winger grabbed the rebound, circled around the net and scored on a quick wraparound with 2:54 remaining in the middle frame.

MATCHUP12: #27 Matt Duchene vs. #6 Paul Stastny

Yet another Matt Duchene goal squares off against a Stastny tally that was set up by a number of slick passes.

#27 Duchene Caps Comeback – 12/13 vs. Chicago (34.50% in Week 10)
Exactly one minute after Tomas Fleischmann tied the Avs with the Blackhawks at 5-5 late in the third period, Matt Duchene scored the eventual game-winning goal. Fleischmann set up the play by first stealing a Brent Seabrook pass behind the Chicago goal and skating to the bottom of the right circle. Duchene snaked his way between a pair of Chicago defenders and buried a pass from Fleischmann to cap Colorado’s comeback.

#6 Tic-Tac-Toe Passing – 12/4 @ Tampa Bay (56.01% in Week 9)
Four of the five Avalanche players on the ice made nice passes that led to this tally. Paul Stastny started it with a stretch pass from his defensive blue line to Tomas Fleischmann just outside the offensive zone. Fleischmann turned and shot a feed over to Milan Hejduk, who quickly shoveled it to Kevin Shattenkirk. The rookie blueliner then one-touched the puck across the low slot to Stastny, who quickly deposited it past Dan Ellis for the goal.
