ColoradoAvalanche.com is again asking for your help in determining the Avalanche's "Play of the Week" each week during the regular season. At the end of the year, a bracket-style tournament will be held to determine, via fan voting, the Avalanche's "Play of the Year."

The nominees this week are goals by Greg Mauldin, Matt Duchene and Tomas Fleischmann.

Voting ends on Monday, Dec. 20 at 3:00 p.m. MT, so be sure to cast your ballot today!

Another Shorty For Mauldin – 12/10 vs. Atlanta
Greg Mauldin used some fancy stick work against Atlanta to net his second short-handed goal of the season. With Paul Stastny serving two minutes for tripping, Mauldin applied heavy pressure on the forecheck and stripped the puck away from Dustin Byfuglien before racing toward the Atlanta net. When Mauldin realized he didn’t have the angle on Byfuglien, he chipped the puck underneath the defenseman’s stick to get it into a better position for his shot, and then quickly beat Ondrej Pavelec.

Duchene Caps Comeback – 12/13 vs. Chicago
Exactly one minute after Tomas Fleischmann tied the Avs with the Blackhawks at 5-5 late in the third period, Matt Duchene scored the eventual game-winning goal. Fleischmann set up the play by first stealing a Brent Seabrook pass behind the Chicago goal and skating to the bottom of the right circle. Duchene snaked his way between a pair of Chicago defenders and buried a pass from Fleischmann to cap Colorado’s comeback.

Flash Completes Hat Trick – 12/15 @ Chicago
After netting three points (1g/2a) in the final 2:24 of the third period during a 7-5 win over Chicago two nights earlier, Tomas Fleischmann continued his hot stretch by scoring three goals during the third period to help the Avs complete the home-and-home sweep. On this, his third goal of the evening (and the eventual game-winner), Fleischmann picked up the puck in the trapezoid behind the net and quickly brought it out front, tucking a shot between Corey Crawford’s legs.
