Play of the Year Winner: #10 Matt Hendricks
Hendricks Ends Marathon – 1/9 @ Buffalo (50.43% in Week 15)
Matt Hendricks dug deep into his bag of tricks, bringing out an old move he used back in high school to help the Avs top the Sabres in a shootout. As the tiebreaker stretched to an 11th round, Hendricks made a big shot fake – complete with a leg kick – to get Buffalo netminder Patrick Lalime down on his pads. From there, the forward went to his backhand to put home the shootout winner.
