Matt Duchene earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors with a fancy move followed by a nice feed to set up a Peter Mueller power-play goal.

Duchene's effort earned 54.84% of the voting, topping Kevin Porter's first goal withthe Avalanche (33.33%) and Craig Anderson's stop on Dany Heatley (11.83%).

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Duchene To Mueller – 3/28 @ San Jose
With the Avalanche holding a man-advantage, Chris Stewart worked his way behind the net before handing the puck off to Matt Duchene. After the rookie made a move to elude a San Jose defender, he walked toward the net and found a cutting Peter Mueller for a power-play tally.
