Cumiskey Earns Play of the Week Honors
Kyle Cumiskey's quick overtime tally against the Atlanta Thrashers earned "Avalanche Play of the Week" honors for the Feb. 5-11 timeframe.

The goal picked up 66.54% of fan votes, topping tallies from Chris Durno (29.82%) and Paul Stastny (3.64%).

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Cumiskey Quick In OT – 2/10 vs. Atlanta
Kyle Cumiskey scored the game-winning goal just nine seconds into overtime against Atlanta. After Paul Stastny won the opening faceoff in the extra session, Cumiskey skated up-ice, weaving through all four Atlanta defenders before making a quick move to beat Thrashers goaltender Johan Hedberg and give Colorado a 4-3 victory.
