Duchene Edges O\'Reilly For Top Play
In one of the closest races ever, Matt Duchene edged out fellow rookie Ryan O'Reilly in this week's "Avalanche Play of the Week" competition.

A matter of a few votes pushed Duchene's goal against Dallas (45.42%) past one of O'Reilly's short-handed efforts versus Columbus (43.62%). Paul Stastny's set-up of a Kyle Quincey goal finished with 10.96%.

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Duchene Goes 1-on-3 – 12/29 @ Dallas
Matt Duchene’s vast skill set was on full display on this play against the Dallas Stars. Duchene gathered the puck and turned on the jets, weaving through three Dallas defenders before beating Alex Auld blocker side.
