A Kyle Quincey body check that sent Tampa Bay forward Steven Stamkos flying into his own bench was named the Avalanche's Play of the Week for the Nov. 27-Dec. 3 time period.

The hit earned 39.76% of the vote, topping goals by Matt Duchene (35.54%) against Tampa Bay and T.J. Galiardi (24.70%) at Florida.

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Quincey Flips Stamkos – 11/30 @ Tampa Bay
Defenseman Kyle Quincey sent Lightning forward Steve Stamkos flying end-over-end into his own bench with this hip check. As if the hit itself wasn’t big enough, the Lightning also received a penalty for too many men on the ice because Stamkos jumped back into the play even though a teammate had already hopped on to replace him.
