Jones\' Goal Named Play of the Week
David Jones' second short-handed goal of the season was named the Avalanche's "Play of the Week" for the Nov. 6-12 timeframe, garnering 63.76% of fan votes.

The forward's tally beat out Chris Stewart's shootout winner against Chicago (25.23%) and a Craig Anderson save on Kris Versteeg (11.01%).

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Jones’ Second Shorty – 11/6 vs. Chicago
David Jones’ second short-handed goal of the season gave the Avs a big lift in their 4-3 shootout win over Chicago. Collecting the puck inside the Avalanche’s defensive zone, Jones raced up the left wing and held off Chicago’s Dustin Byfuglien before chipping a backhander past Antti Niemi.
