Wolski\'s Goal Named Play of the Week
Wojtek Wolski's game-winning goal against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 28 took home Colorado Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors for the Oct. 23-29 time period after gaining 62.54% of fan votes.

The tally beat out another goal by Wolski on Oct. 27 at Edmonton (23.94%) and a Craig Anderson save against Detroit on Oct. 24 (13.52%).

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Wolski Walks Around Flames – 10/28 @ Calgary
With the Avs and Flames tied in the third period, Wojtek Wolski pulled out some late-game heroics. After taking a drop pass from Paul Stastny just inside the blue line, Wolski split two defenders and walked into the slot before firing the game-winner past Miikka Kiprusoff.
