“We’re a proud organization with a great winning tradition and history,” said Kurt Schwartzkopf, Chief Marketing Officer. “This year we will celebrate our 10 years at Pepsi Center by announcing the Avalanche Alumni Association.”
In addition to Sakic, nine other members of Colorado’s 1996 or 2001 Stanley Cup championship teams will be honored throughout the season, including Adam Deadmarsh, Alexei Gusarov, Valeri Kamensky, Mike Keane, Uwe Krupp, Claude Lemieux, Curtis Leschyshyn, Shjon Podein and Mike Ricci.
Each Avalanche Alumni game will include a pregame ceremonial puck drop by the honoree and will also feature a presentation of a painting by renowned artist Stephen Holland.
Fans attending an Avalanche Alumni game will receive a free, limited edition replica poster of the Stephen Holland painting presented to the honoree.
Tickets to all 10 Avalanche Alumni Night games will be limited to eight per person, per game and start as low as $27 per seat. All 10 Avalanche Alumni nights are included in the 14-Game Avs Pack.
