After six weeks of competition, Peter Budaj's save outlasted the field to take home Avalanche Play of the Year honors. The netminder's stop on Vancouver's Henrik Sedin, which was the No. 2 overall seed heading into the tournament, earned 56.43% of fan voting in the championship round.
Earning runner-up status was Wojtek Wolski's shootout goal against the Minnesota Wild. The tally, which was the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, received 43.57% of the vote.

Play of the Year Winner: #2 Peter Budaj
Budaj Robs H. Sedin – 11/12 at Vancouver (62.96% in Week 5)
The Sedin twins teamed up in an attempt to foil Peter Budaj, but the goaltender was up to the task. Daniel made a feed to an open Henrik, who was stationed to Budaj’s left with a seemingly open net. Budaj quickly moved side-to-side and robbed the Canucks of a goal by getting a glove on Henrik’s attempt.
