Netminder Earns Top Play for Second Consecutive Week

Netminder Peter Budaj earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors for the April 10-12 time period after making two big stops on Vancouver's Alex Burrows. Budaj's effort earned 44.39% of fan voting.
Andrew Raycroft's short-handed save on St. Louis' David Backes (33.64%) came in second this week, followed by another Budaj stop on Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler (21.96%).
On Monday, April 20, ColoradoAvalanche.com will begin its "Play of the Year" tournament, once again to be decided by Avalanche fans.
Budaj Hugs the Post – 4/11 vs. Vancouver
Peter Budaj clung to his goal post to keep the Canucks off the scoreboard in the third period of an April 11 matchup. Budaj made a nice save on an Alex Burrows wraparound attempt and also foiled Burrrows’ rebound chance by stacking his pads.
