Wolski, Stewart Combine for Play of Week
Chris Stewart's goal on Feb. 7 against St. Louis - which came off a nifty feed from Wojtek Wolski - earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors for the Feb. 6-12 time period.

The winning play received 44.58% of fan voting, beating out a Ryan Smyth goal (31.53%) and an Andrew Raycroft save (23.89%), both of which came on Feb. 11against Minnesota.

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Wolski, Stewart Connect – 2/7 vs. St. Louis
Ryan Smyth started this play by intercepting a Tyson Strachan outlet pass and gaining the offensive zone before giving up the puck to Wojtek Wolski in the left circle. Wolski made a no-look backhand feed to Chris Stewart, who was cutting toward the net. Stewart completed the play by beating Chris Mason to give the Avs a 1-0 lead.
