Avalanche Play of the Week - Feb. 6-12
Let your voice be heard in selecting Colorado’s “Play of the Week” each week during the season.

Goals from Chris Stewart and Ryan Smyth, along with a stop by Andrew Raycroft, are this week's nominees.

We’ve offered up three choices, and now it's your turn to choose the top play by voting on the poll below or on the homepage of At the end of the season, a bracket-style tournament will be held to determine – once again, through fan voting – the Avalanche’s “Play of the Year”.

Check out this week’s three nominees, and be sure to vote for your favorite by Monday at 12:00 p.m. MT.

Wolski, Stewart Connect – 2/7 vs. St. Louis
Ryan Smyth started this play by intercepting a Tyson Strachan outlet pass and gaining the offensive zone before giving up the puck to Wojtek Wolski in the left circle. Wolski made a no-look backhand feed to Chris Stewart, who was cutting toward the net. Stewart completed the play by beating Chris Mason to give the Avs a 1-0 lead.

Smyth’s Tip-In – 2/11 vs. Minnesota
Ryan Smyth’s second goal of the evening brought the Avs even with the Minnesota Wild, 2-2. On a Colorado power-play, Smyth went to work in his office, setting up right in front of the Minnesota goal. That positioning allowed him to tip a John-Michael Liles shot past Wild netminder Niklas Backstrom.

Rayzor Covers the Net – 2/11 vs. Minnesota
With a Minnesota power play winding down, Avalanche netminder Andrew Raycroft kept the scored tied, 2-2, with a big stop on Antti Miettinen. After stopping a Brent Burns point shot, Raycroft flashed his quickness by moving to his right and turning aside a Miettinen rebound attempt with his blocker.
