Wolski\'s Goal Named Play of the Week
Wojtek Wolski's tally against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 10 was named the Avalanche's "Play of the Week" for the Jan. 9-15 timeframe. Wolski's goal, which received 47.44% of fan votes, beat out a Ryan Smyth marker (19.22%) and an Andrew Raycroft save (33.33%), both of which came against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.

Wolski Dazzles Pens – 1/10 vs. Pittsburgh
Wojtek Wolski broke a 2-2 tie with the Penguins when he made a pass to Ryan Smyth, skated into the Pittsburgh zone, took a return feed and beat Sabourin over his left shoulder. The goal, which came midway through the second period, was Wolski’s 11th of the season.
