Stastny Starts It
Paul Stastny opened the game’s scoring at 8:53 of the first period after taking a backhand feed from Ryan Smyth and burying it past Detroit netminder Chris Osgood for his second goal of the postseason.

Liles Knocks One Home

John-Michael Liles notched his first goal of the postseason at the 5:17 mark of the second period to bring Colorado within two goals. Liles corralled a pass from Cody McLeod and beat Chris Osgood short side.

Stastny Feeds Hejduk
Milan Hejduk brought the Avs within a goal at 16:29 of the third period during a Colorado 3-on-2 rush. The forward took a feed from Paul Stastny and deposited the puck into the back of the net for his third tally of the playoffs.
