The results are in, and for the second straight contest a Joe Sakic game-winning goal was voted as the "Play of the Game".
Sakic's overtime winner Wednesday against the Minnesota Wild garnered over 55% of fan votes.
Hundreds of fans cast their vote for Sunday's "Play of the Game," with voting being conducted on www.coloradoavalanche.com.
Results from the voting are as follows:
Super Joe to the Rescue - 55.78%
Joe Sakic added to his playoff legacy by scoring the game-winner 11:11 into the extra session. After a Ruslan Salei shot from the point was stopped by Niklas Backstrom, the Avalanche captain knocked home the rebound to give the Avs a 3-2 win. The goal was the eight overtime playoff winner of Sakic’s career.

Theodore Stones Burns - 31.47%
Perhaps the biggest stop of the game, Jose Theodore stoned Minnesota’s Brent Burns in overtime to keep the game knotted at 2-2. Burns led a Minnesota 2-on-1 break and held the puck as Jeff Finger slid in an attempt to break up the play. The Wild defenseman evaded Finger with a toe drag, but Theodore was able to get his pad on Burns’ shot attempt.

Sakic, Sauer Connect - 12.75%
Defenseman Kurt Sauer opened the game’s scoring at the 1:29 mark of the second period off a feed from Joe Sakic. With the teams playing 4-on-4, Sauer cut into the slot as two Minnesota defenders had their eyes on Sakic. Sauer tipped a feed from the captain past Niklas Backstrom for his second career playoff goal.
