Monsters Earn Three Points
The Lake Erie Monsters totaled three points during a trio of games this week to move the team’s record to 8-14-1-4 on the season.

The Monsters first dropped a 4-1 decision to Syracuse on Wednesday (Dec. 12), with Chris Stewart notching the lone Monster goal.

On Friday, Lake Erie came away with a 4-1 road victory over the Manitoba Moose. Eric Healey led the way offensively with two goals, while Michael Wall stopped 28-of-29 shots to earn his first win as a Monster. Jeff Jillson and Wes O’Neill also scored for Lake Erie, while Brent Kelly notched two assists.

Lake Erie came up short in its rematch against Manitoba on Saturday, losing by a 2-1 count following a shootout. Johnny Boychuk scored for Lake Erie, while Wall stopped 26-of-27 attempts in regulation.

The Monsters return home this weekend to Quicken Loans Arena, and will host the Peoria Rivermen on both Friday and Saturday (Dec. 21-22).
