Avalanche Recalls McLeod
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Sunday that it has recalled forward Cody McLeod from the Lake Erie Monsters, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate.

McLeod, 23, has registered 13 points (6g/7a) in 27 games with the Monsters. The 6-2, 210-pound native of Binscarth, Manitoba leads the Monsters with 101 penalty minutes.

Signed as a free agent by the Avalanche in July 2006, McLeod played in 73 games last season with Albany (AHL), tallying 19 points (11g/8a) and 180 penalty minutes.

In a related move, the Avalanche placed center Tyler Arnason on injured reserve with a wrist injury which will sideline him approximately four weeks.
