Stastny Shines At World Championship

Avalanche center Paul Stastny was Team USA's second leading scorer at the 2007 IIHF World Championship held in Moscow from April 27 to May 13.
Stastny notched four goals and four assists for eight points in seven games during the tournament. St. Louis Blues foward Lee Stempniak led the Americans with 10 points.
Stastny's four goals tied for second on the team behind Stempniak (6g) and Stastny's four assists also tied for second behind Phil Kessel (5a).
Stastny recorded two assists on April 27 versus Austria and then had back-to-back two-goal efforts on May 5 against Germany and May 7 against Canada.
Fellow Avalanche center Tyler Arnason also skated in all seven games for the United States, notching a goal and three assists. He scored a goal in Team USA's shootout loss to Finland in the quarterfinals.
