The Colorado Avalanche is three points behind the Calgary Flames for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Each team has two games left, as Colorado hosts Nashville tonight and Calgary tomorrow, while the Flames host Edmonton tonight and travel to
Tomorrow's game against Calgary will determine a playoff spot ONLY if the following occurs tonight.....
- Colorado beats Nashville and the Flames either lose in regulation or overtime/shootout
- Colorado loses in overtime/shootout and the Flames lose in regulation.
** Either a Colorado regulation loss OR a Flames victory tonight would eliminate the Avalanche... Also, if both Calgary and Colorado lose in overtime/shootout tonight, then Calgary would clinch.
