Avalanche Recalls Cumiskey
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Thursday that it has recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from Albany of the American Hockey League.
The 20-year old leads all River Rats defensemen in scoring this season with 16 points (4g/12a) in 28 games.
Colorado's ninth selection (222nd overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Cumiskey spent three seasons with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League prior to signing an entry-level contract with the Avalanche on Sept. 25, 2006.
With this latest move, Colorado's roster includes 25 players, 23 active and two on injured reserve.
