Altitude To Broadcast 72 Avalanche Games In 2006-07

DENVER, August 10 -- Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude), announced its television schedule for the Colorado Avalanche 2006-2007 season - highlighted by 72 regular-season contests, 37 of which will be simulcast in high-definition television (HDTV). The network also announced a full slate of Avalanche-related programming, including pre- and post-game shows and a variety of specials.

Altitude's 2006-2007 Avalanche coverage will begin on Thursday, October 5 (6:30PM MT) when the Avalanche play at Minnesota. Regular-season coverage will conclude on Saturday, April 7, 2007 with the Avalanche traveling to Nashville to take on the Predators. Altitude's remaining 70 Avalanche game telecasts and start times are listed below. Mike Haynes and Peter McNab will handle all Avalanche television play-by-play and analyst duties, respectively. Altitude's radio broadcast team features Norm Jones, Curtis Leschyshyn and Mark Bertagnolli.

A key to Altitude's Avalanche telecasts will be in-depth pre- and post-game shows as well as other exclusive Avalanche-oriented programming -- prior to, during, and at the conclusion the season. Serving as hosts and reporters for a number of the shows will be Kyle Keefe and Joe Brown. Follows are descriptors of each program:

Avalanche Face-Off - 71 pre-game shows. This 30-minute program prior to each game telecast will preview the upcoming match-up and feature commentary, analysis and interviews with coaches, players and fans. Hosted by: Kyle Keefe

Avalanche Locker Room Report - 72 post-game shows. This 30-minute program following each game telecast will provide in-depth analysis from our veteran broadcasting team and locker room interviews with players and coaches. Hosted by: Joe Brown and Kyle Keefe

Avalanche Alert! - Starts October 11, Wednesdays 6:00pm and 10:30pm, multiple replays, October - April, 30 episodes. This weekly 30-minute program takes you behind the scenes of the Colorado Avalanche and provides highlights of the team on and off the ice.

The Avalanche Experience - Mike Haynes, Peter McNab and Kyle Keefe discuss the outlook for the Avalanche 2006-07 season with behind the scenes look at "the experience" of attending an Avalanche game with a tour of the Pepsi Center suites and much more. We talk to new Avalanche General Manager Francois Giguere and Joe Sakic. We will also show you how the game day operation staff puts on a great in-arena show. (30-minutes, debut Friday, August 25 at 6:30pm, multiple airings)

Colorado Avalanche 2006-07 Season Preview - A look at the 2006-07 Colorado Avalanche season with player interviews and profiles, interviews from the coaching staff and General Manager. Program will provide a complete breakdown of the team by position and a preview of the Western Conference. (30-minutes, debut October 4 at 6pm & 10:30pm, multiple airings)

Colorado Avalanche 2006-07 Season Review - A look back on the 2006-07 Avalanche season. Program will revisit the best saves, shots and goals of the season. Program will also provide information on what to watch for during the off-season. (one hour, June 2007, multiple airings)
