Skladany Recalled From Lowell

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Monday that the team has recalled forward Frantisek Skladany from Lowell of the American Hockey League.

Skladany, 23, has spent the majority of this season in the AHL, registering five points (1g, 4a) in 21 games for the Lock Monsters. He also saw time with Colorado's ECHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, notching two goals and three assists in nine games.

The Slovakia native was Colorado's fourth selection (143rd overall) in the 2001 Entry Draft. He signed his entry level contract with the Avalanche in 2004 after playing four seasons at Boston University.
