DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Monday that the team has reassigned goaltender Vitaly Kolesnik to Lowell of the American Hockey League and released center Jason Krog from his professional tryout contract. In addition, the Avalanche placed center Brett McLean on waivers. The Avalanche roster now stands at 24 players.
The Avalanche opens the regular season this Wednesday night at Edmonton (8:00 p.m. MDT) and will complete a two-game roadtrip on Saturday night in Dallas (6:00 p.m. MDT). Colorado will then return to Denver to begin the home portion of its 10th Anniversary Season on Oct. 10 vs. Calgary (7:00 p.m. MDT). -AVS-
