The Colorado Avalanche has signed veteran defenseman Patrice Brisebois to a two-year deal ($1.5 million / $3.0 million).
Brisebois, 34, joins the Avalanche for his 15th NHL campaign, having played all 791 career NHL games in his native Montreal after being selected 30th overall by the Canadiens in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
"Patrice Brisebois possesses the rare combination of size and skill and he represents a great addition for our organization heading into the new NHL," said Avalanche President and General Manager Pierre Lacroix.
