The Colorado Avalanche will conclude a season-long, eight-game homestand as it hosts the Dallas Stars on Thursday. The Avs will then make their first road trip since Jan. 15, as they travel east take on St. Louis, Columbus and Minnesota.
Catch the Avs before they skip town when they battle Mike Modano, Marty Turco and the rest of the Stars Thursday night at Pepsi Center.

The Colorado Avalanche is proud to participate in the second annual Hockey Weekend Across America, a three-day, nationwide celebration of the sport of hockey.
LILES HITS 50-GOAL MARK
John-Michael Liles recorded his 50th career goal on Jan. 29 against Toronto, becoming just the fifth defenseman in franchise history to score 50 goals. Liles leads all Avalanche defensemen this season in goals (7), assists (19) and points (26). His 19 assists have him fourth overall on the team, while his 26 points rank him fifth in scoring. Liles already sits as the fifth-highest scoring defenseman in franchise history with 185 career points in 362 games.

HEJDUK IN FIFTH PLACE ON FRANCHISE SCORING LIST
Milan Hejduk is now tied with Anton Stastny (636) for fifth place on the franchise’s all-time scoring list, after scoring his team-leading 19th goal of the season against Calgary on Monday. Hejduk, who scored his 300th NHL goal last month, has tallied 304 goals and 332 assists for 636 points in 752 career games. He ranks fourth in franchise history in both games played and goals, and is sixth in assists. Hejduk is the franchise's all-time leader in regular season overtime goals with nine, ranks second in game-winning goals (52) and is fourth in PPG (112).

Milan Hejduk, who leads the Avalanche with 19 goals, is now one shy of reaching the 20-goal mark for the ninth consecutive season. That would give him sole possession of the fourth longest streak in franchise history.

Colorado is 17-0-0 when leading after two periods, the only NHL team to win every game when leading after 40 minutes this season. The Avalanche has actually won its last 25 games when carrying a lead into the third period, the longest active streak in the league.
AVALANCHE INTRODUCES PEE WEE TEAM
The Colorado Avalanche introduced the Colorado Avalanche Pee Wee hockey team prior to the National Anthem at the team’s game on Monday.
The 2008-09 Colorado Avalanche Pee Wee team will participate in the 50th Annual Quebec International Hockey Tournament held in Quebec City from February 12 – 22, 2009. Each year the tournament hosts 110 teams from 14 countries and is known worldwide as one of the largest and most prestigious Pee Wee hockey tournaments.
This year’s representatives, the Colorado Springs Jr. Tigers coached by Steve Hammer, earned this unique opportunity by winning the Colorado Avalanche Quebec Qualifier Tournament in November 2008. The Colorado Springs Jr. Tigers will hold the title of Avalanche Pee Wee team for the second time during the 2008-09 season, as they held the title previously in 2002-03.

The weekly Avalanche show on Altitude Sports & Entertainment features a behind-the-scenes look at Avalanche players and coaches.
