CHICAGO -- Patrick Sharp notched a hat trick and a four-point night Friday in Chicago's 7-2 victory against the Colorado Avalanche at United Center.
The Blackhawks also got two goals and two assists from Jonathan Toews in evening their season mark against the Avs at 1-1.
Colorado (23-11-3) defeated Chicago 5-1 in November in Denver and still occupies third place in the Central Dvision, 11 points back of the first-place Blackhawks (27-7-6).
Paul Stastny got the Avalanche on the scoreboard at 9:07 of the second period, giving him points in four of six games, and Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog went top shelf past Raanta at 7:37 of the third, giving him scores in back-to-back games.
Michal Handzus and Kris Versteeg also scored for the Blackhawks, while rookie goalie Antti Raanta (16 saves) improved to 9-1-2 overall and 7-1-2 since taking over the starting role for injured Chicago starter Corey Crawford (groin).
Patrick Kane's assist on Handzus' goal in the second period extended his point streak to a career-high 13 straight games.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere allowed all seven goals and took the loss for Colorado. He was hit in the chin of his mask with 1:12 to play in the second period by a hard wrist shot from Chicago's Brandon Bollig and was replaced by Semyon Varlamov to start the third.
Colorado fell to 5-3-0 in its past eight games against Chicago and has points in six of nine in the series (4-3-2).
