CHICAGO -- Patrick Sharp notched a hat trick and a four-point night Friday in Chicago's 7-2 victory against the Colorado Avalanche at United Center.

The Blackhawks also got two goals and two assists from Jonathan Toews in evening their season mark against the Avs at 1-1.

Michal Handzus and Kris Versteeg also scored for the Blackhawks, while rookie goalie Antti Raanta (16 saves) improved to 9-1-2 overall and 7-1-2 since taking over the starting role for injured Chicago starter Corey Crawford (groin).

Patrick Kane's assist on Handzus' goal in the second period extended his point streak to a career-high 13 straight games.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere allowed all seven goals and took the loss for Colorado. He was hit in the chin of his mask with 1:12 to play in the second period by a hard wrist shot from Chicago's Brandon Bollig and was replaced by Semyon Varlamov to start the third.
