2008-09: Led Owen Sound in goals (37), assists (44) and points (81) while appearing in 65 games…
Paced the team with 15 power-play goals and ranked second in both short-handed goals (tie-3) and plus/minus rating (+5)…Led the Attack with seven points (4g/3a) in four playoff games…Voted the “Best Playmaker” and “Best Stickhandler” in the OHL’s Western Conference Coaches Poll…Represented Team Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Under-18 Championship and was the team’s leading scorer with 10 points (5g/5a) in six games.

2007-08: Skated in 63 games during his first season with Owen Sound and led all team rookies in goals (20), assists (27) and points (47)…Ranked second on the Attack in all three scoring categories…Helped lead Team Ontario to a gold medal at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, tallying five points (2g/3a) in six contests.

Personal: Name is pronounced HISH-in…Off the ice, Joey joined up with a local company in Owen Sound to create ‘Hishon for Hodgkins’ in which a donation was made to the Canadian Cancer Society for every goal ($100) and assist ($50) that he collects during home games.
