The Colorado Avalanche will host its third annual “Military Appreciation Night” on Sunday, March 2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Pepsi Center (6 p.m. MT).
Below is a list of some of the activities that will take place around “Military Appreciation Night:”
Avalanche players will wear special camouflage jerseys during warmup that night. The jerseys will be auctioned off online at auction.nhl.com starting March 2. Proceeds benefit Kroenke Sports Charities, which supports numerous agencies including military. Additionally, limited edition Avalanche player autographed camouflage T-shirts will be on sale by the Avs Better Halves that night.
** Pepsi Center doors open at 4:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 5:30 p.m. to watch warm-ups.
The Avalanche will have a number of events surrounding “Military Appreciation Night,” which includes a special pre-game ceremony where every branch of the United States military will be acknowledged. Veterans will also be recognized during the game.
• Upper Level corners and Upper Level centers: $22 (normally $41-$59)
• Lower Level corners and Lower Level ends: $42 (normally $95 - $103)
• Club Level ends: $42 (Normally $103)

As part of the Avalanche Community Pride ticket donation program, Matt Duchene, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Gabriel Landeskog, Ryan O'Reilly, Paul Stastny and Eddie’s Kids Foundation will be purchasing and donating tickets for military organizations that night. Avalanche season ticket holders are also able to donate their tickets for military personnel.
The Avalanche will have a special social media giveaway in which fans are encouraged to submit videos as to "What Military Appreciation Night means to you?" Fans can submit their videos via Vine, Instagram video or by Tweeting their video link using #AvsMilitaryNight hashtag. Videos can also be sent via email at email@example.com(Subject: Military Night Video). One lucky fan will receive two tickets to the game as well as a team-signed Avalanche jersey.
Also, fans will be encouraged to tweet or post photos on Instagram or Twitter using the #AvsMilitaryNight hashtag to be featured on PepsiVision during that evening’s game.
Altitude Authentics, the official team store of the Avalanche, will offer 15 percent off all regular-priced items for military personnel in uniform or anyone who presents a valid Military ID. The offer is valid during the March 2 game only.
